Application of mathematical, statistical and modern computational methods to structural biology experiments and obtaining reliable information on biology from these experiments

Main scientific achievements:

An algorithm for detecting incorrectly placed heavy atoms in protein structures using the ratio of peak values of electron density around a point atom has been developed. For the first time, a method was developed that allows a statistical analysis of probability distribution mixtures of temperature factor within the same protein molecule by applying an algorithm to maximize expectations for inverse gamma distribution. The algorithms were implemented as built-in modules of ToBvalid software.
