| Basic scientific achievements | The complex and comparative analysis of physiological, biochemical and genetic features of wheat genotypes grown on saline soils of Azerbaijan was carried out for the first time. More tolerant varieties were identified for salinity and recommended for breeding. The growth and development, water exchange, photochemical activity of chloroplasts of genotypes of durum (Triticum durum Desf.) bread (Triticum aestivum L.) wheat were studied. The features of the anatomical structure of leaves, changes in the size and number of chloroplasts, in the functioning of PS 1 and PS2 of the identified salt tolerant varieties were studied. |
