The event dedicated to the Independence Day of  Azerbaijan was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. Opening an event vice-president of ANAS, director of the institute Irada Huseynova noted that great leader Haydar Aliyev created the independent Azerbaijan Republic on a firm foundation by eliminating chaos and anarchy in the country and economical, political and moral, physiological tension in the public. As a result, Azerbaijan has gained a special place with its successful politics among influential countries of the world over the years. Deputy director on scientific affairs, PhD Alamdar Mammadov said that on August 30, 1991, the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijani Republic adopted a declaration on the restoration of Azerbaijan's state independence and on October 18,  Constitutional Act “About the State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan” was adopted. The adopted constitutional act states that the independent Azerbaijan Republic was a follower of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan, which existed in 1918-1920. Correspondent member of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov, doctor of sciences in biology Saftar Suleymanov, doctor of sciences in biology Shahniyar Bayramov noted that this independence was not gained easily, we suffered heavy losses and they emphasized that it was more difficult to maintain independence than to get it.  Junior researcher of the laboratory of “Plant biotechnology” Elnare Sadigova noted in her speech that the youth witnessed the development of our country from the early years of independence and grew up with independence.

At the end of the event academic Irada Huseynova emphasized that , eternity and irreversibility of Azerbaijan independence is connected with the name and activity of great leader Haydar Aliyev, which is undeniable fact of our contemporary history.
