The researcher of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, Samra Mirzayeva was on the scientific trip at the head office of the Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection of the National Research Council of Italy (former Plant Virology Institute) and the Florence Department of the same institute (former Plant Protection Institute). During her trip, Samra Mirzayeva met with the president and director of the Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection of the National Research Council of Italy, Dr. Gian Paolo Accotto, scientists-Carra Andrea Massimo, Laura Miozzi, Emanuela Noris, Turina Massimo, professor of the Florence Department Bianca Elena Maserti and Paola Bartolini. The aim of the visit was to discuss the 5 year agreement on cooperation between the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS and the Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection (IPSP) of the National Research Council of Italy, participation in future joint grant projects, exchange of experience, scientific cooperation opportunities between IMBB and IPSP.

During her visit, S.Mirzayeva informed the participants about the establishment of IMBB and department of fundamental problems of biological productivity and their main research directions, as well, researchers of the Bioadaptation, at the seminar especially organized by the Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection. A presentation on “Determination of the major viruses by molecular methods of tomato plants grown in Azerbaijan” of Samra Mirzayeva was met with great interest of participants.
