On March 11, the opening ceremony of the "Science Week" started at ANAS High Technologies Park.

The ceremony was attended by scientists and specialists from relevant state agencies and scientific research institutes of ANAS, as well as students from higher education institutions.

Initially, HT Park Director, PhD in economy Nazim Shukurov expressed his confidence that the holding of such events would further increase the importance of science in the country. The scientist stressed that the establishment of "Science Day" in Azerbaijan is a sign of the attention and care shown by the head of state to science. He noted that this remarkable day will be celebrated at the highest level by the Azerbaijani science and education community as a science holiday.

N. Shukurov informed about the enterprise he led, saying that HT Park is a platform for the implementation of innovative projects and investments. This enterprise, covering 21 hectares, is provided with all utility infrastructures.

The scientist said that ANAS is an organization implementing a single policy in science in our country, adding that the scientists working in this center have contributed greatly to the development of the non-oil sector and the diversification of the country's economy.

N.Shukurov said that on the first day of the Science Week the reports on the projects implemented in the Physics, Mathematics and Technical Sciences Divisions and the researches will be listened.

Then director of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, academician Telman Aliyev made a speech. He noted that achievements in the Azerbaijani science will be discussed during the "Science Week" and the current problems will be remembered.

Noting that large investments have been made in science in developed countries, the scientist said that science is one of the most profitable areas in modern times. He noted that today the Azerbaijani state attaches special importance to the commercialization of science and takes serious measures in this direction.

Later, academician T. Aliyev highlighted the main directions of the institute. He noted that it includes the study of methods of mathematical modeling, identification and optimization of technological processes, intelligent decision-making technologies and systems studying of various level and purpose intelligent mechatronic systems.

In his speech, the scientist also spoke about the "Siberian Power" (Sila Siberian) project, which supplies Russian gas to the People's Republic of China. He noted that the system of diagnostics and management of the "Robust Noise Monitoring" ensures the safety of the "Siberian Power" main gas pipeline built by the Russian state. The first gas export to China is expected to be implemented this year.

Then, Asif Rzayev, head of Control, diagnostics and management system for oil extracting facilities, PhD in Technics, made a report.

The speaker also presented a scheme for operational management of the oil production process with the introduction of innovative technologies.

A.Rzayev also made presentations on "Smart artesian" pilot project and "Production of electric energy saving equipment - speed converters at ANAS High Technology Park".

Then, the participants exchanged views on the reports and answered numerous questions.

Eventually, the event participants were closely acquainted with the work done at HT Park, products and projects implemented.

It should be noted that the event will continue its work with division meetings in the coming days. Scientific conferences are organized by scientific divisions of ANAS every day. The conferences will feature presentations by scientists and researchers from the institutions included in the division.

The "Best Innovative Ideas", "Best Innovative Project" and "Best Innovative Product" contest held by HT Park on the last day of "Science Week" will be announced to the public and the winners will be rewarded.
