On March 11, Head of Computer Crystallography Group at Cambridge University,  head of the laboratory of Computational structural biology of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, professor of Cambridge University, Garib Murshudov held a seminar on “The role of computational methods in molecular biology” at ADA University. This event which attended by a large number of representatives of the Azerbaijani scientific community was moderated by academician Roald Sagdaev. G.Murshudov’s report was met with great interest and wide discussion was held on the topic.

University of Cambridge Molecular Biology is considered the most influential institute in the field of molecular researches in the world. Currently, 14 Nobel winners work at the institute. Working as a head of the laboratory of professor Garib Murshudov at this institute is pride of  Azerbaijanis. He is an author of more than 100 articles in influential journals such as Nature, Science, etc. The number of references to his works is more than 32000. Web of science h index is 44.
