On July 1, reports of the researchers who participated in the international conference held in Sankt Petersburg on June 23-28 were listened. The event began with a minute of silence on the memory of the academician Jalal Aliyev on the occasion of the 91st anniversary.  Correspondent members of ANAS Ilham Shahmuradov, Ibrahim Azizov and the member of the Scientific Council, doctor of sciences in biology Sayyara Ibadullayeva shared their memories about J.Aliyev. They talked about the great role of J. Aliyev in their achievements and recalled that the creative group headed by J. Aliyev began the multidisciplinary researches that are now accepted worldwide in the 70s of the last century. Speaking about J.Aliyev's human qualities, the speakers said they are sure that the present generation will be his worthy followers.

Head of the laboratory of Enzymology of Photosynthetic Carbon Assimilation Shahniyar Bayramov and junior researcher of Bioadaptation laboratory Nargiz Bayramova gave a report on participation in the 10th international conference on "Photosynthesis and Hydrogen Energy Surveys for Sustainable Development"  held in Sankt Petersburg. More than 200 scientists from Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, Belarus, Ukraine, Iran, Japan, Russia, and other countries took part in the conference. Conference participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with photosynthesis and hydrogen energy, fundamental and applied researches on artificial photosynthesis and nanotechnology. This meeting opened new opportunities for professional relations and cooperation for students, postgraduates and scholars from different countries. Head of the laboratory of Enzymology of Photosynthetic Carbon Assimilation, doctor of sciences in biology Shahniyar Bayramov, junior researcher of Bioadaptation laboratory Nargiz Bayramova and 1st-year master student on the specialty of Biochemistry Leyla Khalilova represented the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. The posters presented by our colleagues were met with great interest.
