On October 14 the next scientific seminar was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. 2nd-year master student Zarintaj Rustamova gave a report on the “Wnt signaling pathway and its role in the organism”. The reporter spoke about the role of the "Wnt signaling pathway" in the formation of the embryo in the embryonic period, in tissue and organ hemostasis, and in the regeneration of skin, intestine, and bone stem cells. She said that the failure of this signaling pathway led to diseases such as colorectal colon, intestinal obstruction, liver cancer, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's and schizophrenia. Therefore, the study of the Wnt signaling pathway is clinically very important. The report was of great interest to the participants and was widely discussed. Z.Rustamova extensively answered the given questions.
