On October 29, 2019, a scientific-practical conference on “Development of environmentally friendly agriculture in Azerbaijan” was held at the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University.

The event was attended by employees of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, deputies of the National Council, representatives of higher education and research institutions, foreign scientists, representatives of the Public Union of Environmental Friendly Product Producers and Exporters.

The purpose of the conference was to discuss the tasks that come from the development of environmentally friendly agricultural production in the “Strategic Roadmap for the Production and Processing of Agricultural Products in the Republic of Azerbaijan” approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 6, 2016; evaluation of the role of environmentally friendly agriculture in addressing social, environmental and economic problems as a way of sustainable development of the agricultural sector; providing scientifically sound proposals for the development of the industry.

Junior research fellow of IMBB Nargiz Bayramova participated in the conference. The participants of the conference got acquainted with the material-technical base of the university, its centers, laboratories, educational buildings under construction, teaching and practice farm.
