A regular scientific seminar was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS on March 9, 2018. The researcher of the Laboratory of Computational structural biology,  Rafiga Masmaliyeva gave a presentation on "Problems of protein structure validation". The lecturer's researches are conducted under the leadership of world-renowned scientist, head of the Computer Crystallography group of Molecular Biology Laboratory at Cambridge University, professor Garib Murshudov.

The lecturer provided information on the historical review of protein structure validation, its criteria for macromolecular structures, existing validation programs - PROCHECK, Coot, MolProbity program applications. The statistics included in the control report for the DNA database for each structure was discussed. The lecturer spoke about her results in the preparation of a new method for validation of protein structures and future perspectives

Then the junior researcher of the laboratory of Bioadaptation Bayramova Nargiz gave a report about her participation  in the 5TH International Workshop for Capacity Building in Nematology in Karachi, Pakistan, with the support of the Economic Cooperation Organization Science Foundation (ECOSF) and Karachi University and her experience in National Nematological Research Center on 12-22 February, 2018.
