On February 28 the event dedicated to “1 March World Civil Defense Day and First aid in every house” was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. Opening the event, Chief of the Civil Defense Headquarters of the Institute, Ph.D., Associate Professor Alamdar Mammadov said that the purpose of the event was to prevent emergencies and to instruct people in this situation with the necessary rules of behavior. He also said that the protection of the population, whether in war or in peace, is a priority. He noted that every citizen should be prepared for emergencies and, if such events occur, everyone has to get acquainted with the necessary rules of behavior to protect the lives of themselves and their loved ones. Indifference to safety rules is a threat to our lives. Director of the Institute Irada Huseynova informed about the work done in this direction at the Institute. After the event, fire safety training was held in the yard of the institute.
