Clinical trials of a drug for the treatment of coronavirus started in the Russian Federation

The Federal Biomedical Agency is launching clinical trials for the treatment of severe coronavirus. The scheme is developed on the basis of the drug “Dalargin”. In experiments, the drug allowed animals with pulmonary edema to survive. This gives specialists hope for favorable test results.
“Given the good tolerability and safety of the drug “Dalargin”, proven in registration studies, today the Federal Medical and Biological Agency is launching clinical trials of “Dalargin” in severe coronavirus pneumonia accompanied by respiratory failure with a risk of developing acute respiratory distress syndrome,” – said the press service of the agency said the head of the department Veronika Skvortsova.
“Dalargin” is a Russian drug used today in the treatment of acute phases of stomach ulcers and duodenal ulcers, as well as acute pancreatitis.
