On April 18, a discussion of theses for a PhD degree in biology of two applicants from the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies was held at the Seminar Council created by the Dissertation Council at the Institute of Botany of ANAS. Senior researcher of the laboratory of Enzymology of photosynthetic carbon assimilation Taliya Orujova gave a presentation on the theme "Regulation of the diurnal cycle of photosynthetic enzyme activities in some CAM and C4 plants spread in the Azerbaijan flora". The theme of the report of the junior researcher of the laboratory of Bioadaptation was "Diagnosis and identification of viruses infecting tomato plants in Azerbaijan and the study of changes induced by pathogenesis." The reports of both applicants and the level of their theses were highly appreciated by the Seminar Council and both researchers of our institute were admitted to the PhD thesis defense.
