During the organization of the Office of Science and Education of the Presidium of ANAS, an online meeting was held with second-year master students of the Academy.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the preparation, presentation and defense of master's theses of second-year master students.

The meeting was attended by the head of the department, PhD in Economics Fail Kazimov, deputy head, PhD in Technology Huseyn Huseynov, head of the Master’s Department, PhD in Agricultural Sciences Fikret Feyziev, deputy department head Ramin Hasanov and second-year master students of ANAS.

Opening the meeting, Fail Kazimov recalled the order of the President of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, "On the organization of distance (remote) education for ANAS graduates." He noted that the document instructed the supervisors of second-year mastwer students to maintain scientific contacts with undergraduates in accordance with the individual work plan and provide scientific and methodological recommendations for the timely completion of dissertations. Fail Kazimov noted that second-year undergraduates who have fully mastered the subjects provided for in the curriculum and received a successful assessment will be allowed to defend master's theses this year.

He said that initial discussions of master's theses are currently being held online, adding that the main defense will be carried out in the traditional way, following the recommendations for the prevention of coronavirus infection.

Finally, proposals from master students were heard and responded their questions.
