Scientists at Columbia University in New York have created a mixture of antibodies that are most effective against coronavirus, according to The Guardian.
The researchers took samples of antibodies from patients who had been seriously ill with COVID-19, as well as people who had developed immunity to infection. As a result, they managed to make such a “cocktail” that can be effective in treating coronavirus patients at an early stage and even prevent the disease altogether.
Revealed antibodies have already shown their effectiveness in animal experiments. In the near future, it is planned to start clinical trials.
