On June 11 a regular scientific seminar was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. The assistant of the laboratory of “Plant Biotechnology” Gunay Ismayilova spoke on “Epigenetic changes in in vitro plant cell culture: somaclonal variation”. G. Ismayilova gave information on epigenetic regulations, which becomes more and more important and arouses great interest of biologists, struggle strategies against environmental stress factors through fast and compatible changes at transcriptional and post-transcriptional levels and somaclonal variations. The speech aroused the interest of the audience and was widely discussed.
