Deputy director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies for scientific affairs, PhD in biology, docent Alamdar Mammadov and head of the laboratory of Enzymology of Photosynthetic Carbon Assimilation, doctor of biological sciences Shahniyar Bayramov participated in the scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 90th anniversary of academic Jalal Aliyev- one of the most outstanding personality, world-renowned scientist, sociopolitical figure. The conference was attended by teachers and students of the university, masters and doctoral students, as well as scientific researchers of the Research Institute of Cop Husbandry of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS.

Rector of the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, Correspondent member of ANAS, professor Ibrahim Jafarov declared the conference open and shared his memories of academic Jalal Aliyev. Then, Alamdar Mammadov spoke about the history of the scientific school created by Jalal Aliyev in Azerbaijan, personnel policy for the development of the modern directions of biology (molecular biology, molecular genetics, bioinformatics, structural biology, bionanotechnology, molecular biotechnology, proteomics, etc.), international laboratories established at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies for using the potential of the Azerbaijani scientists working in the leading research centers abroad and preparation of highly qualified young masters and doctoral students. Shahniyar Bayramov spoke about his first acquaintance with academic Jalal Aliyev, his support and providing young scientists all opportunities for their future career. All the speakers emphasized that academic Jalal Aliyev always struggled against falsification in science and the scientist who said "Science is truth" was always on the side of truth. The development and continuation of the scientific heritage created by academic Jalal Aliyev is a moral responsibility of all his students. Today academic Jalal Aliyev is not among us, but his spirit will always be with us.
