On February 2, an online event dedicated to the Azerbaijani Youth Day was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. Director of the institute academician Irada Huseynova opened the meeting and congratulated the youth on the occasion of this holiday. Academician said that announcing February 2 as a Youth day is related to the name of National Leader Haydar Aliyev. The foundation of state youth policy was laid by National Leader. In 1994, the Ministry of Youth and Sports was established to implement youth policy. During the presidency of the Great Leader, the youth of the country always felt his attention and care. Since 1997, by the order of the President, February 2 was marked as Youth Day in Azerbaijan. Today, President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the youth policy founded by the great leader.

The academician noted that the vast majority of the staff of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies are young people, and our task is to achieve their high level of development. Achievements of our youth in both education and scientific activities make us happy. We are proud of them. They take an active part in local and international conferences and results of their research are published in influential journals. The graduates of our institute continue their education at Oxford, Montpellier, Istanbul universities.

Correspondent members of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov, Novruz Guliyev, doctor of biological sciences, Prof.Sayyara Ibadullayeva, Head of Education Department Samira Rustamova, Chairman of the Council of Young scientists and specialists congratulated the youth on this holiday. Afat Mustafazade, Aynura Pashayeva, Nargiz Bayramova, Aytaj Murshudzade, Nigar Ismayilova, Nigar Hajiyeva, Rafiga Masmaliyeva, Elvin Gasimov, and others spoke on behalf of the youth. They thanked all the staff, especially Irada Huseynova, for their attention and care.

At the end of the event, a group of young people were awarded certificates and cash prizes by the leadership of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS and the Trade Union for their achievements in scientific activities and activities in the public life of the institute. Aytaj Murshudzadeh was selected in the nomination of Master of the Year, Gulmira Alibeyova and Asmar Huseynova were selected as the young people of the year. Leyla Khalilova and Sabina Omarova ranked the 3rd place, Aynura Pashayeva and Nargiz Bayramova  ranked the 2nd place, and Rafiga Masmaliyeva ranked the 1st place as the young researcher of the year.
