Azerbaijani professor at the Akdeniz University of Turkey, corresponding member of ANAS Tarlan Mammadov, and a group of researchers led by him prepared a spray and vaccine against COVID-19. The drug is based on the protein produced in the leaves of the tobacco species "nicotiana benthamiana".
The scientist said they were studying ACE2, which is important in preventing the virus from entering the cell.
T.Mammadov said that the reduction of this enzyme, which is blocked by the COVID-19 virus in the body, causes a serious health problem in the human body.
T.Mammadov said that if financial sources are found, they will be able to put the drug on the market within four months.
