2424.01 - Dissertation on "Statistical analysis and validation of atomic displacement parameters" by Rafiga Masmaliyeva, senior researcher of the international laboratory of Computational Structural Biology, submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Biology in "Mathematical Biology, Bioinformatics" was discussed at the scientific seminar.

Extensive discussions were held around the dissertation. Reviewers - doctor of biological sciences, professor Nagi Musayev, and doctor of philosophy in physics and mathematics, associate professor Elman Yusifov noted that the dissertation was performed at a high level and meets international requirements. Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, vice-president of ANAS, academician Irada Huseynova, correspondent member of ANAS, professor Ibrahim Azizov, doctor of biological sciences Yashar Feyziyev, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences Elimkhan Jafarov, doctors of philosophy in biology Ismayil Zulfugarov, Alamdar Mammadov, Vagif Amikishiyev, Orkhan Mustafayev expressed their suggestions and opinions to the dissertator.

At the end, the members of the Scientific Seminar unanimously approved the dissertation on "Statistical analysis and validation of atomic displacement parameters" by open voting. It was recommended that Rafiga Masmaliyeva's dissertation be submitted for the defense at the BED 1.25 one-time Dissertation Council.
