On October 5, the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies held an event dedicated to Teachers’ Day. On this occasion, the staff of the institute visited the grave of a prominent figure, great scientist-pedagogue Jalal Aliyev in the Alley of Honors. Vice-president of ANAS, director of the IMBB, academician Irada Huseynova shared her memories of Jalal Aliyev. The employees of the institute, Jalal Aliyev’s students laid flowers on his grave.  Then the event continued at the institute. Academician Irada Huseynova noted that the achievements of the students of Jalal Aliyev School are the result of the attention, care, and selfless work of their teachers.

Correspondent members of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov, Ilham Shahmuradov, Novruz Guliyev, head of the Department of Education, Ph.D. Samira Rustamova, Ph.D. Sadagat Asadova and young teacher Gunay Ismayilova spoke about the place of the prestigious and honorable teaching profession in the life of each of us. Teachers have great respect and esteem among the people and will continue to do so in the future. October 5 is celebrated as a professional holiday of teachers in more than 100 countries around the world. The order to hold this holiday in independent Azerbaijan was given by the great leader Heydar Aliyev. Highly appreciating the teaching profession, national leader Heydar Aliyev said: "People who dedicate their lives to teaching are truly selfless, loyal to their people and nation, and at the same time heroic." Successful follower of the national leader's political course, our esteemed President Ilham Aliyev also always pays special attention to the development of national education and the improvement of the social situation of teachers.
