On November 17, a regular meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. Annual reports of the laboratories of Photobioenergetics, and Molecular Biotechnology, and the Trade Union were delivered at the meeting held in a hybrid form.

Head of Photobioenergetics Laboratory, doctor of biological sciences Yashar Feyziyev gave a report on "Study, regulation, and modeling of molecular mechanisms of photosynthesis", Ayten Agayeva, senior researcher of the International Laboratory of Molecular Biotechnology gave a report on “Exploring solutions to the problems of agriculture, human health, industry, protection and efficient use of natural ecosystems through cellular and molecular biotechnologies “, and they gave detailed information about the research work carried out in the current year and the results obtained, international relations, published articles, staff training, speeches at conferences and seminars. Extensive discussions were held around the reports and questions were answered. Chairman of the Trade Union of the Institute, doctor of biological sciences Hasan Babayev informed the members of the Scientific Council about the work done in the social sphere at the institute during the year.

In the end, it was decided to adopt the reports unanimously.
