Today, the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies hosted a celebration on the occasion of the Novruz holiday. Director General of the Institute, Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Irada Huseynova congratulated the participants on the holiday and wished them health, happiness and success in their scientific activities. The academician noted that Novruz is a symbol of abundance, prosperity and kindness, embodying our centuries-old moral values and traditions. Novruz is also a holiday of peace, tranquility and friendship. After gaining independence, our national holiday is celebrated not only in Azerbaijan, but also abroad by our compatriots. Today's high-level celebration of Novruz is a sign of respect for the cultural past of the people. We are very happy to be able to celebrate Novruz in the land of Karabakh liberated by the heroic Azerbaijani army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. We bow before the souls of our martyrs who gave us this joy. Correspondent members of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov, Ilham Shahmuradov, doctor of biological sciences Saftar Suleymanov, PhD Alamdar Mammadov and others congratulated the participants. The event also included a khoncha competition. Holiday khonchas presented by each laboratory and department of the institute were evaluated by the jury. The winner of the competition was the khoncha prepared by the laboratory of Enzymology of Photosynthetic Carbon Assimilation.
