24 students at the faculty of biology of the Baku State University (BSU) who had done the internship at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS, made a presentation to the scientists of the institute on April 18. Opening the event, the Director-General of the Institute, Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Irada Huseynova stressed the importance of this day for students and scientists.

She noted that the internship of BSU students in the institutes of ANAS, including IMBB, is a clear example of the integration of science and education. During the two months of internship in the laboratories of IMBB, the students got acquainted with the scientific research work carried out there, the principle of modern devices and equipment. They also conducted research under the control of their supervisors and mastered the methods used in world practice. She expressed confidence that the knowledge and practical skills acquired by students at IMBB will be important for their future activities.

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Biology of BSU, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Sabina Omarova thanked all the staff of IMBB, especially academician Irada Huseynova. She noted that BSU students have been undergoing internships at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS for several years. Sabina Omarova said that the inclusion of students in the scientific environment will play a great role in their formation.

Then the students practiced in the laboratories of Bioadaptation, Genome Structure and Expression, Enzymatology of Carbon Photosynthetic Assimilation, Photobioenergetics, Bioinformatics, Plant Biotechnology, and Population Genomics made presentations and answered questions.

At the end of the event, the students expressed their deep gratitude to the director of the institute, academician Irada Huseynova for the conditions created for them. Then a memorial photo was taken with the students.
