The regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS was held on May 5. Opening the meeting, the vice-president of ANAS, director-general of the Institute, academician Irada Huseynova acquainted the members of the Scientific Council with the issues on the agenda. The meeting discussed the preliminary discussion of the dissertation of Ayten Gabil Agayeva, senior researcher of the International Laboratory of Molecular Biotechnology of the Institute, on "Research of oil-contaminated soils of Azerbaijan for the detection of new antibacterial compounds" for the degree of Doctor of Biology in 2415.01 - "Molecular Biology". The issue of candidates who applied for doctoral studies at the institute in the 2022 academic year, the draft textbook set on "Biology" for VII and X grades of educational institutions according to the official request of the Ministry of Education, the need to reconsider the issue of the amount of the annual tuition fee for doctoral programs on a paid basis at ANAS were discussed. The next issue on the agenda was the certification of doctoral students and dissertators studying at the institute. The doctoral students reported to the council members on their work in 2021 and answered the questions. The work of doctoral students was considered satisfactory and they were certified.
