Joint lectures of the first-year Master’s students studying "Biology" on the specialization subjects "History and Methodology of Biology" and "Modern Problems of Biology" have started at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. A total of 24 students, including 12 from the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, 3 from the Institute of Genetic Resources, 3 from the Institute of Microbiology, 3 from the Institute of Botany, and 3 from the Institute of Zoology, participate in the lectures. It should be noted that joint teaching of general specialty subjects has been carried out since last year. The "History and Methodology of Biology" course is taught by Professor Ibrahim Azizov, correspondent member of ANAS. Leading scientists from various institutes in the field of biology, including Ilham Shahmuradov, correspondent member of ANAS from the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, Professor Garib Murshudov, PhD, associate Professor Nurmammad Mustafayev, PhD, associate professor Alamdar Mammadov, PhD, associate professor Samira Rustamova, from the Institute of Microbiology correspondent member of ANAS Panah Muradov, from the Institute of Genetic Resources, doctor in biological sciences, associate professor Mehraj Abbasov will deliver lectures on the latest achievements of biology and currently unsolved problems.
