On September 23, at the scientific seminar of the ED 1.25 dissertation council operating under the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, specializing in "Plant Physiology", the discussion of the dissertation submitted by Ilaha Hajiyeva on "Study of the morpho-physiological and biochemical characteristics of sugar beet plants under the influence of high salt concentration " to receive a Ph.D. degree on 2411.02-"Plant Physiology", was discussed. The scientific supervisor of the dissertation work was the late professor, honored scientist, Ph.D. Neymat Gasimov. The applicant brought the main provisions of the dissertation work to the attention of the seminar participants and gave detailed information about the relevance, purpose, and results of the work.

Opponents - Nagi Musayev, doctor of biological sciences, professor of the Department of Biophysics and Biochemistry of Baku State University, and Atabay Jahangirov, Associate Professor, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, director of the Gobustan Regional Experimental Station of the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry of Ministry of Agriculture gave detailed information about the dissertation work. Then discussions were held around the dissertation. Doctors of philosophy in biology - Mahira Mammadova, Ulkar Ibrahimova, and Mayakhanim Khanishova gave their suggestions and opinions to the candidate.

In the end, the members of the scientific seminar unanimously voted the dissertation on the topic " Study of the morpho-physiological and biochemical characteristics of sugar beet plants under the influence of high salt concentration " and it was recommended to be submitted for the defense at the ED 1.25 Dissertation Council.
