Aygun Sadigova, a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Plant Biotechnology of the AR ESM Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, was on a scientific trip to Istanbul, Turkey on 26.09.2022-01.10.2022. Sadigova participated in the International Summer School organized by TUBA. Researchers from Azerbaijan, Albania, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and other countries took part in the summer school on "Basic sciences and requirements of academic life". Participants listened to lectures on topics such as creative publishing, research techniques, scientific skepticism, critical approaches, and academic integrity. Aygün Sadygova presented the Transactions of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Institute, and a book "Life Horizons: Fundamental Science and Prominent Practical Achievements ", which reflects the life and scientific activity of an outstanding personality, social and political figure, great scientist-pedagogue, academician Jalal Aliyev, to TUBA president Muzaffar Shekar and informed him about the work done in the institute. Muzaffar Shekar and other Turkish scientists were very interested in the scientific-research work conducted in Azerbaijan. Muzaffar Shekarci asked to deliver TUBA's newly published book "Islamic Astronomy and Copernicus" to Academician Irada Huseynova, Director General of IMBB, as a representation of strong mutual relations. Excursions to various innovative laboratories of the Tubitak Marmara Research Center were organized for the participants of the summer school. A. Sadigova became familiar with the research conducted in those laboratories. Extensive discussions were held with the participants from other countries about the innovations of fundamental science and joint activities.  The Summer School ended with the presentation of certificates to the participants by the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kajir.
