On October 10, a scientific seminar on "Effect of high light stress on cell growth and lipid production in the Green Alga Chlamydomonas Reinhardtii” of the junior researcher of the Bioengineering international laboratory of IMBB Gunay Zekiyeva. The speaker spoke on the study of lipid metabolism related to autophagy in mutant strains. She spoke about the reasons why cells undergo autophagy and the effect of reactive oxygen species on this process, the fact that increasing light intensity induces active forms of oxygen, which ultimately leads to autophagy. Then G.Zakiyeva brought to the attention of the seminar participants the results of her research work on "Isolation of phosphoglycolate phosphotase enzyme from the green algae Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, its expression and characterization " in the Biotechnology laboratory of the Agriculture Department of Akdeniz University, Turkey. G. Zakiyeva noted that during the research conducted under the leadership of Tarlan Mammadov, professor of Akdeniz University, corresponding member of ANAS, isolation of three isogenes of phosphoglycolate phosphotase enzyme (fgf1, fgf2, fgf3) from green algae C.reinharditii, its cloning and gene expression analysis were carried out and research in this direction continues. In the end, the speaker answered the questions.
