Clarivate Web of Science annually publishes the names of the world's most influential scientists. In 2022, 6,938 researchers from 70 countries and regions of the world were included in the list of the most cited researchers in the world.

 Suleyman Allahverdiyev, an Azerbaijani scientist, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, director of the international laboratory of Bionanotechnology of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the RA MSE, doctor of biological sciences, was included in the list, which was compiled based on the results of the last 12 years. It should be noted that Suleyman Allahverdiyev was also included in the elite group of the most cited scientists in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021.
