Academician Irada Huseynova, vice-president of ANAS, and general director of the institute opened the meeting and introduced the council members to the issues on the agenda. She brought to the attention of the council members the information about the awarding of Iham Shahmuradov, head of the Institute's Bioinformatics laboratory, corresponding member of ANAS, with the "Record in Reference" diploma of ANAS. According to the data taken from the global information network "Google Scholar Citations", a total of 1366 citations were made to the scientific works of the scientist with an H-index of 11. Then, issues of preparation for the scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of academician Zarifa Aliyeva, which will be held at the institute, on the theme "Innovator scientist, bright personality" were discussed at the meeting. Academician Irada Huseynova informed the council members about sending the senior researcher of Proteomics International Laboratory, PhD Aynura Pashayeva to Pusan National University of the Republic of Korea, Naima Niyazova, a junior researcher at the Bioadaptation Laboratory, to the Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection of the National Research Council Italy, Shahniyar Bayramov, senior researcher at the Laboratory of Enzymology of Photosynthetic Carbon Assimilation, doctor of bio.sci., Assoc. to Antalya, Turkey, to participate in the annual conference held under the COST program. Then the reports of the doctoral students of the Institute about the scientific research works performed in connection with the dissertation topic were heard.
