The relations between Baku State University and the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies were established by academician Jalal Aliyev in the 80s of the last century and are currently being successfully continued by academician Irada Huseynova, the Director General of the institute. Every year, the scientists of the institute take part in the teaching process at the university, in master's training.  Students have internships in the laboratories of the institute. On March 16, 2023, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Baku State University and the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies on the joint implementation of scientific research activities. This year, according to the order of the President of ANAS No. 205 dated 01.09.2023, 12 graduate students majoring in "Molecular Biology", "Biotechnology", "Biochemistry" and "Plant Physiology" were transferred to Baku State University. Therefore, both the university and the institute's teaching staff were involved in the educational process. Classes for graduate students have already started. In the lecture halls of the institute, classes were conducted on the research methods of molecular biology, molecular mechanisms of biological signal transmission, and molecular phytopathology. Academician Irada Huseynova, the Director General of the institute, greeted the students and wished them success in the new academic year.
