A leading researcher of the Bioadaptation laboratory of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, PhD Nargiz Sultanova was on a scientific trip to the Julius Kühn Institute in Braunschweig, and the Leibniz Institute DSMZ - Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen research center, Germany, from 20.11.2023 to 24.11.2023. The main purpose of the visit was the application of Advanced NextGen sequencing technologies to study virus infections in plants, collect virus genomes, and evaluate transcriptome responses of plants. HTS (High-throughput sequencing), used for metagenome analysis of molecular intraspecific diversity of phytopathogens, was developed as a main methodology in the Department of Plant Viruses of DSMZ. It is planned to discuss the results of NGS analyses using Pipeline NextSeq (2X150 bp) on the Zoom platform and determine the next stages of the research.
