By the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an employee of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education, PhD in Biology Mayakhanim Khanishova was awarded the scientific title of associate professor in the specialty "2411.02-Plant Physiology".

In 2012, Mayakhanim Khanishova successfully defended her thesis on "Physiological and genetic characteristics of salinity resistance of some durum and soft wheat samples" and received a Ph.D. degree in biology.

The scientist is the author of more than 50 articles, including 4 articles published in impact factor journals indexed in the Web of Science database.

Associate Professor Mayakhanim Khanishova is currently continuing her doctorate studies for the preparation of a doctor of sciences at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies.
