Fidan Huseynova, a senior researcher at the Population Genomics Laboratory of IMBB, participated in the international congress called "6th Annual Meeting of FSSCR" organized by the French Society for Stem Cell Research (FSSCR) on January 22-24, 2024. She presented her research work "Can CH3-M6P be a new candidate for tissue regeneration" in the section of Regenerative medicine. The congress takes place once a year and aims to share the latest innovations in the field, hold discussions and bring the most important research directions in this field to the public. It should be noted that this organization is one of the world's leading societies in the field of stem cell research. In total, more than 350 participants from more than 20 countries participated in the congress, which lasted for 3 days and consisted of 8 sections, and the world's most famous and prestigious universities such as Pasteur, Imagine de Paris, Institut Curie, Harvard, Cambridge, Montpellier, Copenhagen, Max Planck, Lausanne scientists, each of whom is a leader in their own field of research, reported the latest work they had done to the scientific community. Most group researchers, as well as young Ph.D. and postdoctoral researchers, presented their scientific work in poster sessions. At the event, representatives of various well-known companies explained in detail the latest technologies that they sell and can be used in this field, their working principles and areas of application, both by oral presentation and by live demonstration of the equipment at the 3-day exhibition organized in the foyer.  At the organized round table called "Meeting with the Editors", the researchers had the opportunity to discuss with the editors of 3 famous journals (Development / Cie of Biologists, Embo Reports and Nature Cell Biology). In addition, various funding organizations spoke about financial opportunities for research in specific directions in the field of stem cell/regenerative medicine and explained the application procedures.
