Junior researcher of the Photobioenergetics laboratory of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of MSE AR Ruslan Suleymanov was on secondment at Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir, on September 1-28. During his secondment, Ruslan Suleymanov conducted research on the topic “Hydrogen production with the help of nanoparticles synthesized by algae collected from the Caspian Sea”. 3 types of algae Ulva compressa, Gracilaria spp, and Ulva intestinalis collected from the Caspian Sea were used for research conducted in the Biochemistry laboratory of Dokuz Eylul University, and the characteristics of the synthesized silver nanoparticles were studied. Also, experiments were conducted on hydrogen production using synthesized silver nanoparticles. The young researcher learned how to use MATLAB and tested three different algorithms to get the best modeling parameters.
