“The World Health Organization (WHO) considers the coronavirus 10 times more dangerous than swine flu ”.

Palitranews.az reports reference to Medicina.az, director-general of the organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said it.

He said that the swine flu epidemic from January 2009 to August 2010. During this period, a total of 1.6 million people were infected. 18,449 of them died.

However, today the number of coronavirus victims is 10 times higher than this number. "We know that COVID-19 is spreading rapidly and is more deadly than the flu epidemic in 2009," Director-General of  WHO concluded.
