On June 30, 2017 a regular meeting of the Dissertation Council, functioning at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, ANAS was held. The doctoral thesis of the head of the Laboratory of Enzymology of Photosynthetic Carbon Assimilation, leading researcher, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Shahniyar Mikayil Bayramov on the theme "Regulation of some enzymes of primary carbon assimilation in C3 and CAM plants under abiotic stress factors" submitted for the scientific degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences, was discussed. The main goal of the presented dissertation work was to study the regulatory mechanisms of some enzymes of primary carbon assimilation in C3 and CAM plants under the influence of abiotic stress factors. The methods used in the investigation can be applied to the theoretical and practical training of young researchers working in this field, and the dissertation can serve as a  tutorial at the relevant departments of universities. The doctoral thesis was unanimously approved by the members of the council and proposed for submission to the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for awarding Sh. M. Bayramov the scientific degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences.
