During the organization of the  Office of Science and Education of the Presidium of ANAS, an online meeting was held with the heads of the Education Departments of scientific institutions and organizations of the Academy.

The goal was to ensure the sustainability of education in ANAS during the COVID-19 pandemic, to organize a summer examination session for first-year undergraduates, to timely defend second-year undergraduate dissertations, and to discuss the results of admission to doctoral and dissertation programs for the 2020 academic year.

The meeting was attended by the head of the Office of Science and Education, PhD in Economics Fail Kazimov, deputy head of the Office PhD in Technology Huseyn Huseynov,  head of the Department of Doctoranture an Dissertanture, PhD in Chemistry Omar Gulalov, head of the Department of Master Studies PhD in Agricultural Sciences Fikret Feyziev and heads of educational departments of relevant institutions.

Opening the meeting, Fail Kazimov recalled the order of the President of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, "On the organization of distance (remote) education for ANAS graduates." Noting that according to the document, a new approach was introduced into the educational process of the Academy, he emphasized the importance of ensuring the stability of the educational process in a special quarantine mode. It is noted that although distance learning is the first experience, was organized at a high level in ANAS, F. Kazimov thanked to the employees and tecahing staff of ANAS. Speaking about the plan of admission to ANAS for the 2020/2021 academic year, he emphasized the importance of preparing for the new academic year.

Then the deputy head of the office, Huseyn Huseynov spoke about the importance of completing an interim assessment of undergraduates on May 31, 2020. Highly appreciating the experience gained in the field of distance education, he noted the need to take into account assessments of individual works and colloquiums, as well as at seminars in the grading table before the exam.

Then, the head of the Deparment of Doctoranture and Dissertanture Omar Gulalov provided relevant information on conducting doctoral examinations at the summer examination session, as well as on the results of admission to doctoral studies in 2020 and preparation for the next admission process.

In conclusion, head of the Department of Master Studies Fikret Feyziev spoke about the organization of summer examination sessions and master's theses for graduates. He noted that, taking into account the preventive measures taken by the country's leadership in connection with the pandemic, both the examination session and the defense of master's theses will be carried out traditionally, subject to exceptions.
