An online lesson talked about the structure and functions of the genome and basic proteins of coronaviruses

On May 22, Ismayil Zulfugarov, PhD in Biology, professor at Pusan National University (Republic of Korea), head of the Proteomics International Laboratory at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of ANAS, conducted an online workshop for students of Baku State University on the topic: “Coronaviruses: structure and functions of their genome, as well as basic proteins.”
At the master class, Ismayil Zulfugarov delivered a lecture on molecular diagnostics and methods of treating COVID-19 infection, the genome, structure and origin of the virus, signs of
disease, replication and molecular divergence of coronaviruses, DNA-containing viruses, RNA-containing viruses, MERS and SARS coronaviruses etc.
The lesson on the Microsoft Teams platform aroused great interest among the participants.
In conclusion, the scientist responded questions from students.
