From July 12, 2020, Armenian army units attempted to attack using artillery to seize our positions in the direction of the Tovuz region. Counter-attack and retaliatory fire of the Azerbaijani armed forces inflicted heavy blows on the enemy, no loss of territory was allowed. Our officers and soldiers were heroically martyred in the battles, and wounded servicemen hope that they will recover soon, return to the front and seek to defend the homeland.

The provocations committed by the enemy in violation of the ceasefire during the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic around the world are an expression of Armenia's indifference to the negotiation process on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, a deliberate violation of the rules and norms of international organizations. The continuing occupation of the historical lands of Azerbaijan for almost 30 years, the constant aggravation of the situation in the border areas, attempted attacks and even the shelling of settlements and civilians demonstrate to the world the aggressive policy of the Armenian state. The death of a resident of Aghdam village as a result of provocation in Tovuz is another aggressive act of the occupier state.

Preventing an attack with precise, sharp attacks, full control of the situation proves the strong political will of the state, the courage of our armed forces. As a citizen, everyone is closely united around the state and the army in the cause of justice and is ready for all the orders and instructions of our President on this path.
