Feast of the sacrifice Jul 31, 2020 | 09:04 / Important events

Today, one of the holiest holidays in the Islamic world is a feast of the sacrifice. According to the Law "On Holidays of the Republic of Azerbaijan" adopted by the National Council on October 27, 1992, after Azerbaijan gained independence, Feast of the sacrifice is celebrated at the state level in Azerbaijan as well.

The main essence of the holiday is to share the flesh of the sacrificial animal slaughtered in the way of God with the poor people, to make them happy, and at the heart of the ritual is kindness, purity, and faith and love for God, as in fasting. One of the most beautiful features of the sacrifice is that there is no discrimination on the basis of religion or sect. On this holiday, orphans, orphans, and the poor of any religion have the right to enjoy the opportunities of the rich. Sacrifice means that people do something that is pleasing to God.

One of the conditions of sacrifice is that sacrifice is only right for the rich who have the means to do so. It is not necessary to sacrifice to a person who does not have the means. It is not acceptable in Islam to borrow money to slaughter an animal.
