Madagiz village liberated from occupation of the Armenian armed forces is one of the villages of Tartar region of Azerbaijan. Madagiz previously belonged to the administrative territory of Agdara region. On October 3, 2020 Azerbaijani Armed Forces liberated Madagiz. President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev announced this good news to the population. Later, the Supreme Commander-in-chief congratulated the Commander of the 1st Army Corps Hikmat Hasanov on liberating of Madagiz. President Ilham Aliyev restored the historical name of Madagiz and named it Sugovushan.
