According to the Order of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov the head of the Education department of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, PhD in biology, associate professor Samira Rustamova was granted the Badge "High-performing educator of the Republic of Azerbaijan" for her activities in the field of development of science and education. The successful scientific activity of Samira Rustamova is also worthy of attention. She has been a winner of the competition “Completing postdoctoral research of ANAS scientists in Europe” and invited to the Institute of Crop Science and Resource Conservation (INRES) of the University of Bonn, Germany to perform her investigations for 3 months. Currently, S.Rustamova is working on her doctoral dissertation entitled “The role of the DREB transcription factor in the expression regulation of genes responsible for drought tolerance in wheat genotypes”. She conducts her research under the guidance of Dr. Ali Ahmed Naz at the Department of Plant Genetics and Biotechnology.
