International Scientific Symposium on the Ecological, Biological and Medical Aspects of Urban Planning: Towards a Sustainable and Healthy Urban Environment

The International Scientific Symposium on “The Ecological, Biological and Medical Aspects of Urban Planning: Towards a Sustainable and Healthy Urban Environment” will be held on September 29, 2026, jointly organized by the Public Legal Entity Institute of Molecular Biology under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Biological and Medical Sciences Division of ANAS.
The aim of the event is to analyze the interactions among the ecological, biological, and medical components of the urban environment based on modern scientific approaches and to contribute to the development of scientifically grounded approaches and recommendations for creating a sustainable and healthy “green city” environment by providing a platform for the discussion of international scientific experience and innovative research findings.
Symposium Topics
Abstracts should be prepared in English or Azerbaijani in accordance with the guidelines below and submitted to timbb@imbb.science.az by September 10, 2026.

The section number to which the abstract belongs should be indicated in the upper right corner above the title, followed by one blank line.
Abstract text:
Abstracts should be prepared in Microsoft Word, on A4-size pages, using Arial, 12 pt font, with 2 cm margins on all sides, 1.15 line spacing, and should not exceed 3 pages in length.
No additional spacing should be left between paragraphs, and the text should be justified.
The title of the abstract should be centered, written in uppercase letters, and formatted in bold. After one blank line, the authors’ first and last names should be centered and formatted in bold (the first letter of the name and surname should be capitalized; the full first name should be written out). After one blank line, the affiliation, address, country, and e-mail address of each author should be given in italics and centered. An asterisk (*) should be placed as a superscript after the surname and before the e-mail address of the corresponding author.
After one blank line, the main text should begin with a 1 cm first-line indent, using regular font.
Abstracts must present the results of original research studies. Authors submitting abstracts are required to present their work at the symposium.
References, figures, and tables should not be included in the abstracts.
All abstracts will be checked for plagiarism.
Abstracts will be accepted for publication following evaluation by the Organizing Committee. Abstracts that do not comply with the requirements will not be published.
