In 2015, for the first time in the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS), the preparation of students for the master's degree started. In 2015, at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, four students entered the magistracy in the specialty "Molecular Biology". In the 2016/2017 academic year, two students began studying in the specialty "Molecular Biology”, and two students in the specialty "Biotechnology". Six students entered the magistracy for the 2017/2018 academic year, in the specialties "Molecular biology", "Biochemistry", "Biotechnology" (two students for each specialty).
