Basic scientific achievements

For the first time, the cyclic adenosine monophosphate system, which is a universal regulatory system in phototrophic bacteria, was discovered, and initial ideas about the role of this system in those organisms were presented. Plant carbonic anhydrase was crystallized, the structural and functional organization of the enzyme was studied in detail, and a molecular model of the quaternary structure was proposed. The role of photosynthetic enzymes in plant adaptation to extreme conditions and productivity processes was clarified.
