An event dedicated to the World Teacher’s Day was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies on 5 October, 2018. First, the leadership and staff of the institute, visited the Alley of Honor, honored the memory of a prominent public figure, scientist and pedagogue Jalal Aliyev. Vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, academic Irada Huseynova, correspondent member of ANAS, professor Ibrahim Azizov, Doctor of Biological Sciences Shahniyar  Bayramov and others shared their memories of Jalal Aliyev, who, along with being a serious and demanding teacher, treated them carefully and attentively, and a sincere “student-teacher” connection was established between them. Speakers said that Jalal Aliyev, who devoted his life to science and education, was a unique person, always carrying the name of a teacher with honor and dignity. Today followers of his school successfully work not only in Azerbaijan, but also in universities of the USA, Great Britain, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Ukraine, South Korea and other countries.

Then the event continued at the institute. In her opening speech  Director of the Institute, Academic Irada Huseynova, noted that the students of Jalal Aliyev, continued the work of their teacher, and carried out successful scientific and pedagogical activities. Prof. Ibrahim Azizov, Deputy Director of the Institute on Scientific Affairs Alamdar Mamedov, head of the Education Department of the Institute, PhD in Biology Samira Rustamova, Doctor of Biological Sciences Shahniyar Bayramov, who were the students of J. Aliyev, noted that J. Aliyev considered a scientific success as the most important among all his achievements, constantly sharing the gained knowledge with his students. The representative of the younger generation of the institute Master of Science in Biology Gulnar Abdullayeva thanked the teachers and stressed that first of all she owes to his teachers for her learning achievements. At the end of the event, Academic Irada Huseynova congratulated all the teachers, who carry the name of the teacher highly and honorably, perform their professional duties, and wished them continued success in their work.
