Executive Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies  of ANAS, PhD, Associate Professor Alamdar Mammadov participated in the project dedicated to "Strengthening the quality assurance of doctoral education and accreditation of research institutions in Azerbaijan." The project was funded by the European Union and implemented by a consortium led by IBF at the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The project participants were trained by Achim Hopbach, Emil Asgarov, and Elchin Hajiyev. Achim Hopbach spoke in detail about the purpose, objectives and importance of the "internal quality assurance process rules" for the accreditation of scientific institutions. In his speech, Achim Hopbach provided detailed information on accreditation requirements, structure, justification, research program and activities, quality indicators, research results, doctoral education, and additional criteria for programs. The main participants of the accreditation - scientific research institutes, SAC and the expert council established by SAC, the presidium of SAC, and their functions were also discussed. The participants were informed about the ethical rules to be followed during the interviews, the role and responsibilities of the expert council and its chairman, the purpose and principles of the interview, the way to ask questions and the www.akkreditasiya-aak-az website was presented. At the end of the training, participants were awarded Certificates.
