The annual report of scientific research, scientific organizational and scientific-pedagogical activities carried out in 2018 at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies was given on December 21. Academician-Secretary of the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences of ANAS, academician Ahliman Amiraslanov, scientific secretary of the department Afig Mammadov, members of the scientific council and employees of the institute took part in the meeting. The annual report was presented by Vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, Academician Irada Huseynova who spoke on the institute activity, successfully carried out within the framework of the governmental programs. She gave information on the basic directions of the performed researches and main results obtained. The report of academician Iada Huseynova was widely discussed by the members of the scientific council. Full member of ANAS V. Alizadeh, correspondent members of ANAS N. Guliyev, I.Azizov, I.Shahmuradov, Dr. S.Suleymanov, heads of the International laboratories of the institute  S.Allahverdiyev and PhD I. Zulfugarov, the deputy director of the institute on the scientific affairs A.Mammadov highly appreciated and expressed satisfaction with the performed work. At the end of the meeting, academician Ahliman Amiraslanov noted that this institute was the masterpiece of academician Jalal Aliyev and despite the fact that it was established recently, the institute had great achievements. The students of Jalal Aliyev are leading researchers in many institutes and research centers of the world.  Irada Huseynova, as a follower of Jalal Aliyev’s school, pays special attention to young specialists. Five international laboratories are functioning at the Institute and it is important to develop the material and technical basis of these laboratories in order to attract world-renowned scientists. A. Amiraslanov emphasized that scientific and organizational work at the institute was held at the highest level and wished the institute employees success in their future work.
